Silver Spring, MD, November 16, 2007 -- Geocentric announced today the launch of an interactive website for the Capitol Riverfront Business Improvement District (BID). The new website, located at www.capitolriverfront.org, features a unique interactive mapping application.
Located along the Anacostia River in Washington, DC, the Capitol Riverfront is a neighborhood undergoing dramatic redevelopment as a business, entertainment, and waterfront destination. It is also home to the new Washington Nationals Baseball Stadium, which will host its first game on March 29.
Driven by Geocentric's Citylight Software, the new website contains extensive interactive maps and a database of development and retail projects. Citylight Software allows destination districts to organize and dynamically publish location based content in a way that appeals to both web visitors and search engines. It also makes it easy to update the site with new retail and development listings, as they happen.
"This interactive map is a valuable resource to convey what's here and what's coming to the rapidly developing Capitol Riverfront community" says Michael Stevens, Executive Director of the Capitol Riverfront BID, "It can be a resource for anyone interested in the Capitol Riverfront and in particular, an important marketing and informational tool for developers, brokers and prospective tenants and resident."
The Capitol Riverfront BID is the eighth organization of its kind in the District. Other Geocentric clients include the Georgetown BID and the Downtown D.C. BID, which recently celebrated its tenth anniversary.
