Citylight Mobile

An increasing number of cellphones and other mobile devices (such as PDA's) include web browsing at near DSL speeds.  Website browsing on mobile devices is similar, but not usually identical, to PC based website browsing.

An interesting feature of mobile users is that they are typically very action oriented (where is the place I am looking for right now?) and their query often contains a strong geographic context (and how do I get there from here?).

With the emergence of the Apple's iPhone and an exploding consumer interest in the mobile web, now is the time to consider establishing a unique URL for mobile use.

A unique feature of Citylight Software is that, with one edit to the Citylight database, you can publish your Destination Content to traditional websites and mobile websites at the same time.

Armed with a PDA, such as the Motorola MC35, or similar device that contains an internal GPS and Camera, running on a mix of local WIFI connections or a Mobile Broadband connection, clients can roam their districts updating Citylight content, documenting assets such as light poles and trash cans, and tracking trouble issues such as graffiti or broken benches.
